It is called by this name because of Buddha’s two sacred food prints and being near Man stream. Man Shwe Satt Taw Pagoda festival is annually held from February to April.

Buddha came to stay at sandalwooden monastry called Sandagunanthar Kyaungtawyar. Buddha slept at the place of Minbu Setkeinte Pagoda and so Setkeinte Pagoda was built on it. The twin ogres Bawthaw and Bawkyaw from Magway came to bring the emerald couch on which lord Buddha lied and enshrined it on the nagoutama hillock and built Mya Tha Lon Pagoda in Magway. Every year, Mya Tha Lon Pagoda Festival is open in October and lasts about one month.
Now, Ayeyarwady Bridge(Magway) has been built across the Ayeyarwady River and we can go there easily. As Man Shwe Satt Taw Pagoda Festival is open in spring, the weather is pleasant. We should go and worship at Buddha's sacred footprints and we should also enjoy swimming in cool Man stream.
